WALES PHOTO ALBUM GALLERY (1)

The West Blockhouse in the extreme south-west of Wales is an ancient fortress built in the mid of the 19th century. It was never used as a defense bastion for the protection of Welsh bays. Surrounded by the nature of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, it is a perfect place for a lonesome and adventuresome holiday. The next cottage, Dale, is 2 km away, and the next survival station (Tesco) resides in Haverfordwest (25 min by car).

This tour took place in November 2002. Although this sounds rather uncomfortable, the god of weather disabused us, as also seen in these photo impressions. Even half-naked sunbathing on the roof was possible. We loved The West Blockhouse!
